Most of the students of Utah will be aware that to become a certified nursing aide, one has to go a mandatory CNA training course according to the OBRA, 1987. Those students who want to become a certified nursing aide have to go for Utah CNA program approved by the Utah Board of Nursing. A quick reminder, a certified nursing aide is an individual that is responsible for taking care of patients.

For getting the admission in any of CNA programs, the student must be 18 years old and should have a high school diploma or GED. The student should also have a criminal background check before applying for CNA programs in any school. After having the eligibility, the students can apply in any of the CNA programs in Utah.

The CNA program is inclusive of classroom learning and clinical training. The classroom study makes the students aware of various skills of a certified nursing aide such as basic nursing care, infection control, mental health, restorative care and lots more. As the clinical training is considered, the students are given exposure to the real life situations faced by a certified nursing aide. They are provided training under the supervision of nursing instructor.

After the completion of the CNA program, the students have to appear for the competence examination held by the Utah State to get the certification. The exam has two parts written and performance tests. On clearing the exam successfully, the students get their names placed in Utah State Nurse Aide Registry.
