Professionally qualified CNAs who are working in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, home health settings or any other long term medical care facility in Alabama are registered and listed in Nurse Aide Registry of Alabama. If you are willing to pursue a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then first thing that has to be done is to enroll yourself in a CNA training program, which is approved by Alabama.

After the successful completion of training program, it is mandatory for all the students to clear the CNA state competency test, which consists of written as well as practical. Clearing of the state examination will result in CNA certification along with registering your name in Nurse Aide Registry of Alabama.

It is essential that all the nursing students must clear the CNA state test. Students get 3 attempts to pass the test. If they fail to do so, they have to re-take the entire CNA training program along with the CNA test again. Therefore, in order to work professionally and to receive a CNA certification, it is obligatory for the students to clear the CNA state competency test.
