A certified nursing assistant (CNA) is a well qualified professional that bears the responsibility to take care of the patients in hospitals and clinics. The job of a certified nursing aide involves a range of tasks under the supervision of Registered Nurse. Their job is considered to be the most important in the field of medical services and health care. The students are also becoming aware of the certified nursing program and adopting it as a career.

Nowadays, a high school CNA program is available for the students who want to start off early in medical services and health care. A post secondary education option (PSEO) is available with the students who want to take their college classes during their high school. Those students want to begin early in nursing college may begin by completing a CNA training course. The following are the useful instructions for the students:

  • The students should talk to their school guidance counselor if their high school provides PSEO for those wishing to pursue CNA. If the school provides this option, the students must see as to which colleges they provide payment for. The qualified students will get the advantage as the high school will pay for their college classes till their high school graduation.
  • Then, the students must talk to the admissions specialist at the college they wish to attend and to learn about the procedure and rules for the PSEO students. The required paperwork is to be done by students with their parents.
  • After that the students should make an appointment with the college counselor for their program schedule and all other details.
  • The students should enroll themselves in the CNA program. The program consists of two parts i.e. classroom instruction and hands on training.
  • Lastly, the students should pass an examination to receive certification. The examination has two parts i.e. written and practical tests.
