With so many medical jobs emerging out in recent times, a career as certified nursing assistant is in great boom. A CNA or Certified Nursing assistant is an individual who takes care of the patient’s basic needs by providing them with the care and concern. They work under the supervision and guidance of a registered nurse. These days more people are getting into this job not because of the handsome salary it has to offer but because this is a safe and secure job.

The salary range of A CNA depends basically upon their experience, type of facility they choose to work for and location of employment. Those having multiple years of experience are expected to have salary in the range of $22,000 to $32,000 annually while the salary of fresher and novice CNAs ranges from $20,000 to $31,000 per annum.

Large hospitals generally pay more to CNAs than clinics; which tend to increase as experience moves up to the higher end. Along with that they also provide their CNAs with insurance and other health care benefits. Usually a certified CNA can earn up to $13-$20 per hour.  While the elderly care facility pays $12- $14 per hour to its employees. In Nursing Homes, a CNA is paid $ – $11 hourly wages or $19,704 to $ 26,840 annually based on their experience, location, type and size of facility, working hours and other benefits.

The CNA salary may also change depending upon where you are employed in the United States. For e.g. CNAs in California earn $28,000 annually while Montana CNAs earn $23,000 on an average per annum.
